This presentation will showcase solar energy for homes in Wisconsin and make the case that now is the time for builders, contractors, and the public to take a new look at solar. The cost of installed solar on homes has declined over 70% in the past decade, and 600-1000 homes are getting solar electric systems annually in Wisconsin. When incorporated with new construction, the costs can be even lower, and financed into the mortgage. State rebates and federal tax credits help reduce the up-front expenses and will be de-mystified in this session as well.
